Move Pilates App

All bookings can be made via the Move Pilates app.  You might have already downloaded this app and got it sorted, if not that’s ok we’ve got you covered.  Click the button below to download instructions on how to download the app, setup your account and navigate the app.

Cancelling classes & Pressing Pause

12 hour cancellation policy

At Move we have a 12 hour cancellation policy.  If you cancel the class 12 hours or more prior to the class your class credit will be added back onto your account for you to use another time.  Unfortunately if you cancel after the 12 hour period this is considered a ‘late cancellation’ and your class credit will be used.

We’ve made our Move memberships flexible so they will work with your busy schedule. If you are unwell or going on a holiday we can assist in extending your class credits to use upon returning.

Our top tips for your first 4 weeks of classes:

Prebook classes
We strongly recommend booking your classes 2-3 weeks in advance.  Our classes can get busy {which we love} so booking ahead of time ensures you are getting into the classes that best fit into your schedule.  Booking ahead of time also helps you create a routine.  Starting a new form of exercise can be hard work and even harder to stick at, scheduling your classes ahead of time and treating them as a non-negotiable sets you up in a routine and makes it easier to get into the studio no matter what your week looks like.  You’ll feel better for that 45 minutes of time out for yourself!

Recovery
Recovery is just as important as the exercise itself.  As much as we all like to work hard it is important to give your body sufficient time to recover in between classes.  When first starting try to schedule your classes so that you have 1-2 days in between classes where possible to allow for rest and regeneration.

Hydration
It is important to keep your body hydrated before, during and after your classes.  We all know we should be drinking water throughout the day but it really is an essential component to good health.  Water in fact is used in nearly every metabolic process in the human body from regulating body temperature, physical performance and detoxification.  Water also assists your body in recovery post exercise to flush through toxins released by the body and muscle recovery.  Ensure you keep up your water intake after class, aiming to drink 2L per day.

Sleep
Getting adequate sleep is one of the best, yet often most neglected, ways to maintain good health and well being.  Getting a restful nights sleep enables you to repair and rejuvenate your body and mind and can make us feel more alert, energetic and enhance our physical and cognitive performance. Post exercise sleep is vital to repair and build the muscles worked during your session.  It is recommended we get a good 7-8 hours minimum of restful sleep per night.

With all that info in mind, we’ve got a daily planner just for you to help you.  Use it to plan out your day, track your hydration & sleep, but most important book your next class. If you are yet to receive your Move Planner visit Chloe or Katie on the desk and they will help you out.

So now that you’ve got all the details and some helpful hints to get you started you’re all set to jump into reformer pilates! We’re so excited to see you in class.  If you need assistance with anything along the way please don’t hesitate to contact us or speak to your instructor, we’re more than happy to help.
