Enjoy a chat with one of our senior Move instructors (they’re quite lovely!) as they help you establish where you’re at with your health right now, and where you’d love to be in 12-months time. From there, we’ll work out your top 3 fitness goals and the achievable steps you can take to reach them – whether that involves coming in for a Pilates class or doing your own thing at home. You’ll be able to take your plan with you at the end of our chat, and we’ll always be here ready and happy to assist you reach your goals if that’s what works best for you.

The importance of movement through ageing is so vital, we understand that everyday tasks such as lifting, bending and reaching start to get a lot harder. We have clients in their 70’s who have mentioned that before starting their journey at Move, everyday tasks such as playing with their grandchildren or gardening became unenjoyable and sometimes unachievable. Through pilates at Move, we have found it has given them freedom in their everyday movement and many other physical benefits.

Guess what that’s fine. Our friendly instructors are here to help guide and teach you the correct techniques. If you want; you can jump straight in with a Beginner Group Class (low impact workout) or book in for a First Steps Consult (conversation-based, no workout).
No way- we can help you keep moving safely throughout your whole pregnancy!
If you are pregnant and new to pilates we would recommend checking with your midwife or doctor before starting to ensure there are no issues or complications to be aware of – but when you get the all clear, we are here for you.
All of the exercises and classes can be adapted to be suitable and safe for both you and your baby throughout your whole pregnancy. If pilates is new to you, particularly a beginner class would be a great place to start or even a 1-1 so that you can spend some time working with the instructor looking at what feels okay and discussing the do’s and don’ts.
Definitely! A gentle guided return to exercise is crucial to returning to exercise post-baby and will benefit your recovery. We would recommend a 1-1 session initially when returning to pilates post-baby.
We understand sometimes that there is pressure to return back to your usual exercise after baby however it is important to allow the body time to heal postnatally and to mentally be okay with the fact that exercise may feel a little hard to start with. At Move, many of us are mums ourselves, so we know what it’s like and we’re here to help guide you through your journey and get you moving in the most supportive way for your body.
Not only is returning to exercise postnatally important to assist your body in recovering but it’s also beneficial for your mind too. Juggling life with a new baby can be exhausting and leave you feeling physically and mentally drained. Taking time out for yourself to get moving will leave you feeling destressed, re-energised and feeling comfortable in your body. Also, as these classes are attended in the comfort of your home- bubs can be right by your side the whole way through!

Have you ever been in a big group class, or in a gym where you were unable to do something due to inexperience or injury? With us, you will not be a number in an overcrowded room. You will have space to move, your own machine and personal attention throughout the entire session. Additionally we have an admin team dedicated to assisting you with any questions you may have.

We are goals and results orientated. We respect the time you take away from your family and want to ensure you are achieving and maintaining your results. Each month you have access to a free private 30-minute review with your instructor. She will assist you to set yourself health-related goals, test where you are at with them and design a plan for you to follow and achieve them.
